My art and design could not be what they are without the influences of San Francisco. Of course my Southern upbringing finds a way to well up through the urban influences, however I think overall there is Bay Area aesthetic. I am proud of this. Inspiration finds its way into my work through salvage yards, vintage magazine ads, seventies Playboys, thrift stores, dollar stores, taco trucks, tattooed bartenders, dark beers, dilapidated sheds, the ocean, rusty pickups, record album covers, van murals and old shirts. I try to take minimal elements and create a clean light aesthetic. A little wear and tear, to give it a historical feel, but all in all, clean and simple.
I have had solo and group art shows at Mark Wolfe Gallery, 111 Minna Gallery, Upper Playground Gallery, SoEx Gallery, Sf Arts Commission Gallery, Hespe Gallery, Park Life, Electric Works Gallery, Gallery 3175, 66 Balmy Gallery, Diego Rivera Gallery. I have work in the SFMOMA store, as well as etchings in the permanent archives of the Whitney and SFMOMA.
I have had art reviews featured in publications such as Art Ltd Magazine, Alarm Magazine, FecalFace.com, CMYK Magazine, Bay Area Guardian and Sf Weekly.
I currently work as a Senior Visual Designer for art.com
